Panamaniac- A Perfect Summer Drink
I have had similar drinks in bars that were steps away from beaches. Each had a combination of tropical juices and fruits. I took my favorite elements from many of these drinks and created one of my own. Then I gave it a name that is an homage to one of my favorite countries.
This recipe yields two drinks for fishermen and Parrotheads. For the less experienced drinkers it can be stretched to four servings.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of dark spiced rum
4 cups of ice cubes
1 small banana
1 cup of pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups of mango juice
1 tablespoon of cream of coconut
1 tablespoon of grenadine
Pineapple slices for garnish
Preparation
Place the ice in a blender. Add the rum and other ingredients. Blend with several short pulses. Pour and garnish.
